Founder's Day 2008

You're invited to join alumni, members and guests as we celebrate the 36th anniversary of our founding at ULM. The big weekend is April 25-26, 2008. From crawfish, to golf, to a dinner and dance at the Monroe Civic Center, we'll be celebrating in style in April. For more information contact Tommy Walpole.

Dr. Joe Pujol, Ed.D., FACSM (Eta Omicron '81); I did not ever plan to go to NLU, in fact I hardly even knew it existed until one of my older brothers enrolled there. I remember when he came back home the first time wearing his ΠΚΑ shirt. After taking some ribbing from one of my other brothers he spoke about the fraternity and the quality of people in the group and, of course, the fun they had. Having been in high school when Animal House came out I had a picture in my mind about fraternities and this began to sound like a lot of fun.

During my senior year of high school I made a trip to Monroe to learn more about the school. In the meantime I was able to meet the guys in the fraternity. They were as advertised, a close knit group of men who were fun to be around and also knew how to enjoy themselves. (more)

WELCOME TO

PI KAPPA ALPHA & GREEK LIFE AT ULM!

Pi Kappa Alpha (we're known as the "Pikes") is composed of men attending the University of Louisiana Monroe who share similar ideas of friendship, truth, honor, loyalty, and the deep desire to be successful at all they attempt.

Pi Kappa Alpha at ULM is an exciting and dynamic organization where your son will find many opportunities to not only get involved at ULM, but to experience leadership opportunites within the fraternity, to attend leadership conferences sponsored by our International Headquarters, and to experience brotherhood as never before.

The Pikes at ULM encourage its members to get involved in activities outside the fraternity in order to enhance his entire college experience while putting a premium emphasis on work inside the classroom.

The challenges and rewards of college life can be greatly enhanced through the PI KAPPA ALPHA EXPERIENCE. Since 1868, being a Pike means a deliberate commitment to Educational Excellence, Leadership and Integrity.

IMPACT OF FRATERNITIES ON EDUCATION

Research1 has proven that fraternity membership helps keep students in college and compels them toward graduation at a rate higher than non-Fraternity men.
